About This Spot

Walking into D & D Restaurant in Weaverville feels like stepping into a well-loved corner of small-town America where the pace slows just enough to savor simple, honest moments. The gentle hum of friendly conversations drifts around cozy wooden booths, while sunlight warms the space through large windows that hint at nearby countryside life beyond the highway. This is a place where mornings start with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade biscuits, and afternoons welcome the satisfying sizzle of grilled burgers shared with neighbors and newcomers alike.

Here, the atmosphere is unpretentious but full of warmth—an inviting rhythm that encourages lingering over a plate of crispy fries or a hearty breakfast without hurry. The feeling of community is palpable, from the attentive smile of the staff to the familiar way locals gather as if visiting an old friend’s kitchen rather than just a restaurant. It’s a spot where conversations aren’t rushed, and the joy of good food is woven into the fabric of everyday life.

Favored dishes like the buttery biscuits or the juicy Smokehouse burger aren’t just meals; they feel like a welcome back to childhood afternoons or shared family weekends, crafted with care and served in generous portions. Whether it’s a quick pick-up call-in order or a settled breakfast beside a steaming cup of coffee, D & D quietly offers a respite—a reminder that comfort, kindness, and a little bit of nostalgia still have a place on the menu.

Very good burger & fries. Had everything that we needed, appreciate that they sell sweet tea by the gallon!!! When grabbing lunch after working on cleaning/ / repairing someones house, wasn't looking for or expecting "atmosphere"...

Cozy country atmosphere. Reminded me of my childhood when people gathered and talked with one another and weren't in a rush. Friendly staff. Crispy fries and the Smokehouse burger was juicy. Both were delicious.

The food never disappoints whether it's my bacon biscuit for breakfast or a burger and fries for lunch, It's always good. I usually can't eat early of a morning but I was able to keep a bacon biscuit from here down and I can't anywhere else so it's a pretty darn good place to eat and it's convent especially with the call in orders for a quick go in and pick up. The biscuits are soft and buttery! The burgers are juicy and full of flavor! The fries are delicious! I really recommend coming and trying it for yourself or if you have already been, then come again! 100/10!

Locally owned restaurant and convenience store everything that embodies a small town in one parking lot. The ladies that run the place are amazing, friendly, loving kind people. the gentleman that owns it, and is just as kind hearted and sweet as they are, if you're coming to this little small town. This is a must stop. Even if it's just for a cup of coffee.

I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.

You would be hard pressed to find a better representation of "local". The food is consistent, the people are country and great and the prices are just right. And the ladies love to play with your food once they get to know you.

Good reviews so we decided to try it. When we got to the restaurant, we realized it was inside the gas station and had our doubts. But don't judge the book by its cover so we went in. Very inexpensive and darn good after we added a little salt and pepper.
